Description
The Globin mRNA Depletion Probe (Human) is a probe specifically designed to target human globin mRNAs, enabling efficient removal of globin mRNA transcripts derived from adults, infants, and embryos, including HBA1/2, HBB, HBD, HBM, HBG1/2, HBE1, HBQ1, and HBZ. When used in combination with the NGS rRNA Depletion Kit (Human/Mouse/Rat) (Arcegen #N210402), this product effectively removes both rRNA and globin mRNA from total RNA while preserving other messenger RNAs (mRNAs) and non-coding RNAs. This kit performs well on both intact and partially degraded total RNA samples. The RNA samples obtained after rRNA & globin mRNA depletion can be used for high-throughput sequencing analysis of mRNA and non-coding RNA, significantly increasing the proportion of usable sequencing data. They may also be used for cDNA synthesis or other downstream applications.
Application Scope
Suitable for human-derived total RNA samples in the range of 100 ng to 1 μg; suitable for both intact and partially degraded RNA samples.

Notes
1. Use RNase-free consumables and regularly clean the experimental area. We recommend using Thermo Fisher’s RNAZap™ efficient nucleic acid removal spray to eliminate RNase contamination.
2. RNA samples must be free of genomic DNA contamination. If gDNA is present, perform DNase I digestion followed by purification before using this kit.
3. The maximum input volume for RNA samples is 10 μL. If the sample volume exceeds this, it should be concentrated first.
4. For safety and health, wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
